Bradford gym club 77 arthington street bradford BD8 8EY 07511454884 01274 547765 Dear Parent Opening day is fast approaching. We at Bradford Gym Club are preparing for this. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we will be taking all precautions necessary to keep your child/children safe and will be in line with all government guidelines. For your information, when payment is made please approach the desk – as before. However, when leaving make your exit between the beams. Arrows will be positioned on the floor. At the end of the session, I will supervise your child leaving the building. Please remain outside and I will send your child to you. We have made good use of our time during lockdown. The pit has been emptied and we are now awaiting delivery of new foam – a mammoth task. We also plan to purchase new mats for the floor. A thorough clean of the gym will be in place. Any questions, please ask. I really hope to see you all soon. Keep safe. Irene Bradford Gymnastic Club

In time, we should be able to revert to the old timetable. Payment method needs to be given on a weekly basis until September and then we ask that you leave an emergency contact number on arrival. All procedures will be followed regarding hygiene. During lockdown, we have emptied the foam pit and are now awaiting delivery of the new foam – a mammoth task! We have also painted the gym throughout. PLEASE NOTE THAT PARENTS/CARERS/SPECTATORS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY. Also PLEASE DO NOT bring children to the gym if you think they have symptoms of the coronavirus . Finally, thank you for your continued support. Without YOU we could not continue. Take care and stay safe Yours Irene 07511454884 We would like to continue to ask for your support by encouraging your gymnasts and parents to get involved in safe activities and discourage any skills-based activities that are not endorsed by us. What safety measures should I encourage gymnasts, and parents of gymnasts, to put in place before doing any recommended activities? Below are a list of safety measures you should provide to gymnasts and parents. • Make sure you have enough space around you before starting an activity • Make sure activities set are appropriate for your participants physical and mental limits • Make sure challenge-based activity is focussed on the gymnast challenging their personal best rather than being compared to others • Make sure participation is at the same level it would be during a normal week i.e. not doing hours of activity every day if they only take part once or twice per week normally • If you are doing live social media activity, please make sure that you cater for the spectrum of ability that may be watching • All activity must be completed in a safe environment and gymnasts must complete the pulse raiser activity on their relevant award before attempting any of the remaining skills. • All surfaces should be stable and where relevant carpeted. Please advise parents/carers that gymnasts must not use furniture to perform any of the skills Safety is absolutely paramount in our sport and we all need to continue to keep gymnast safety at the forefront of our minds. Below are links to download training material. Please note: Only use material that is relevant to your child's age, level and ability.

See you soon...It's with a heavy heart that we have to announce the temporary closure of Bradford Gym Club effective immediately, given the current situation regarding COVID-19.
We feel it the most responsible course of action, with the safety of our community and staff at the forefront of our minds. With new evidence being released this week detailing the potential resilience of the virus both in the air and on surfaces, we feel that staying open would be an irresponsible decision on our part. We hasten to add that this is only a temporary closure and that once we feel the situation has improved and we can better guarantee the safety of our visitors, we will re-open our doors. So, until next time, keep safe and look out for each other! Congratulations to the raffle prize winners!
